Valley Rovers Open Meeting

Valleys Rovers will be holding an open meeting on Friday the 15th November at 8pm in Innishannon Parish Hall to acknowledge the handover of additional land in Brinny and to provide an overview of the future development plans. All members and non-members of the club are welcome especially parents of young children in the underage clubs.

Innishannon Flower and Garden Club will hold their next meeting on Wednesday November 13th at 8 pm in Barrett’s Lounge. Our guest presenter will be Mike Walsh who will speak about “Autumn colour in the garden”. Everybody Welcome.

Coffee Morning for The Irish Cancer Society (Note date change)

Given the massive success of our Irish Cancer Society Coffee morning last year, Cairdeas, Knockavilla National School Parent’s Association, will again be holding a Coffee Morning in aid of the Irish Cancer Society on Sunday 17th November in Knockavilla Hall at 11am. Lots of yummy treats & cakes and all are welcome. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

A Spanish mass for Catholics is celebrated on the third Sunday of every month in St. Martin’s Chapel, Saint Mary’s church, Popes Quay, Cork at 3p.m. The next mass is on Sunday 17th November. All welcome.

David Quinn of the Iona Institute, columnist of Irish Catholic & Irish Times, will give a talk entitled “What we owe to Christianity” on Monday 25th November in the Munster Arms Hotel, Bandon, Co Cork. Doors open at 7.30pm.
