Priests Christmas Collection
The Christmas Day Collection will be taken up at Masses on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for the support of your priest.
The priest’s income comes from the Christmas Day and Easter Sunday Collections, spring and Autumn Stations, offerings for Baptisms, Marriages, Funerals and Mass Offerings.
NB. The priest does not receive his income from the weekly and special collections, the only two exceptions are Christmas Day and Easter Sunday.
Envelopes for the Christmas Day Collection are available in both Churches, if you use the Sunday envelopes, it has a special envelope for the Christmas Day priest’s collection.

Advent Candle Prayer
We light the Rose candle symbolising Joy, also known as the Shepherd candle. As the Shepherds accepted the joyous message of the Angels may we be aware of the joy in accepting and caring for others.

Valley Rovers Community Breakfast Morning
On Sunday morning 22nd December 9.30-12.30 in the Parish Hall. Last year’s event was a great success & we look forward to seeing you all again this year. All proceeds go towards the continued development of parish facilities for the benefit of everyone in the parish. The annual Poc Fada will take place on St Stephen’s day. Registration will be from 11.30am in Crowley’s of Innishannon and puck off will be at 12.

Cork Stand Together, Appeal for the Homeless in Cork
It is great to see Cork City looking so good for Christmas & there is a real buzz around. But Christmas can be a very tough time for people & there are so many people struggling in the city. Weekly we try to concentrate on the essentials & offer some hope & the love of Jesus. We are asking for your help, so we can offer a bit extra coming up to Christmas. A few treats might make this period a bit easier. We will be putting packages together, some of the items we would love to include are: Perfume/scents/aftershave, make up/cosmetics/tobacco/cigarettes/selection boxes or Christmas treats/cinema passes/meal vouchers/coffee vouchers. There are only a few ideas, any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Those who prefer to make up their own wrapped Christmas shoebox would be appreciated.
