Ministers of the Eucharist

Alcohol gel hand rub is now available to use before distributing Holy Communion. It will be beside the water & towel. Fr Finbarr.

Cork Scripture Group

Would like to invite anyone who is interested in Scripture to join us for the following course. Title: The Gospel of Mark: Exploring the earliest of the Gospels. Facilitators: Mons Ned Goold, Marian Mortell, Fr Seán O’Sullivan and Phil Mortell. Mondays 19th, 26th Feb, 5th and 12th Marc from 7.30 – 9.30pm in the Scala Centre, Blackrock (opposite Blackrock Castle). Saturday Workshop: Gospel Perspectives on Family facilitated by Dr Jessie Rogers (Maynooth). Sat Feb 24th from 10am to 1pm. in Sacred Heart Hall, Western Road. Cost: €50 (for the 4 nights and Saturday workshop) For those who wish to attend the workshop only, the cost will be €10. Day of Recollection

Day of Recollection at St. Benedict’s Priory, Cobh, Co Cork. The theme is “Seeking God in Family/Community Life with the Servant of God, Marie Adele Garnier, through her writings” Saturday 27th January. 9am-3.30pm. Lunch provided. Cost: Donation. River Rhythms Choir

Have you tried Innishannon’s newest choir, River Rhythms? We are a mixed choir singing fun & contemporary songs. Come try out our new melody section for less experienced singers. Tidy Towns Table Quiz

Will be held in Barretts Bar at 8pm on Friday 9th Feb with Quiz master Jim Kilduff. This is a very enjoyable and sociable night. It is also our annual fundraiser, so please support our efforts to keep Innishannon looking good.

Valley Rovers Ladies Football Family Fun Bingo

On Sunday 28th January in Innishannon Parish Hall 3-6pm. There is a jackpot prize of €100. These funds are much needed for new training equipment and your support would be greatly appreciated. Donations of cakes/buns etc for teas at the interval would be appreciated. These can be dropped to the parish hall on the day from 11-1pm.

Blood Donor Clinic

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service will hold a Blood Donor clinic in The Marian Hall, Ballinhassig 5pm – 8.30pm. Monday 22nd January. Blood Donation is essential to ensure hospital patients get the treatment they need. One Donation can save up to 3 Lives. Irish Cancer Society Volunteers

The Irish Cancer Society’s Daffodil Centres (Cork University Hospital and the Bon Secours) are currently looking for volunteers to support patients and their families. Duties to include – welcoming enquirers to the centre by talking, listening and identifying their needs. Training provided. Rural Link Transport Services

Is your Son/Daughter or someone you are caring for, attending day services in Cork City? Rural Link, are trying to co-ordinate transport services between Bandon and Cork. If you know of anyone, attending Cope, Enable Ireland, Headway, Irish Wheelchair Association, Brothers of Charity, or any other day service, on a daily basis, you may be interested.
