Thank You

Dear Fr Finbarr, Many thanks for welcoming me to the parish at the weekend. Please extend my thanks to your parishioners for their welcome. As you are aware I received a number of envelopes. The total amount received in those envelopes came to €540 for which we are most grateful. With every good wish to you and your parishioners.  Mary Gallagher Holy Rosary Sisters.

Knockavilla Bridge Club

Knockavilla Bridge Club will be running Summer Bridge in Knockavilla hall on Tuesday nights at 8pm, commencing on June 26th. Beginners welcome.

Tidy Towns (Clean Up for Gardens & Galleries)

Just two work nights left before Gardens and Galleries. We will meet at the traffic lights both nights and on this Tuesday night to weed and brush to the Hall.   Next week we will do likewise to the Grotto.  This will have the entire village looking good for Gardens and Galleries when we will have many visitors walking the village.  Extra helpers would mean many doing a little instead of a few doing a lot.

Gardens & Galleries

On Sat 7th and Sun 8th July from 10am to 5pm Innishannon will host Gardens and Galleries.  Over the weekend ten gardens and five solo and two group art exhibitions will take place.  Four gardens and many of the art exhibitions will be in the village, also a vintage show in the forecourt of Bernard Car Sales and a gramophone recital at Rohu’s Country Market.   At 2pm both days Aidan Murphy will begin a history tour of the village at the sculptor of the Horse and Rider.    A mini bus will be available to take you around to other venues.  This is a special event for Innishannon to fund the ongoing work of Tidy Towns and Friends of Innishannon.   It is a very sociable and hugely enjoyable event.
