Stations & Masses

Mass on Wednesday 16th at 7.30pm in Innishannon & Thursday 17th at 9.30am in Knockavilla for those areas who had no Station Mass.  (Coolmoreen/Belrose, Keel/Ballyhandle, Lissagroom, Lissaniskey/Gurranes, Ballincourneenig/Finnis, Castlelack/Barna, Dunkereen/Killountain, Knockmullane/Dromkeen, Curranure, Kilpatrick, Woodlands/Ballymountain, Raheen/Curra, Killeens, Annaghmore/Ballydonaghy, Clogheen, Derrynagasha)

Stations: Friday 4th May for Kilmore/Brinny at Mary & Nelius Cremin’s at 8pm.  Friday 11th May for Rathnaroughy at Gerard & Susan O’Sullivan’s at 8pm.  Station Mass for Garryhankard & Clashanimid at Marguerite Kelleher’s on Thursday 31st May at 8pm.

No Mass in Innishannon next Wednesday 2nd May as the Confirmation Ceremony will be taking place in Knockavilla Church at 10.30am.

Tidy Towns Work Nights

Each Tuesday night at 8pm volunteers will meet at the corner by the traffic lights to work at different venues in the village and along the approach roads.  Help is always welcome and much appreciated.   Tidy Towns is all about community and our slogan is ‘Together is Better’.

Alzheimer’s Tea Day

Thursday 3rd May is National Alzheimer’s Tea Day.  Families coping with Alzheimer’s need our support.  Please give them that support by coming to the home of Alice Taylor that morning to enjoy a cup of tea and a chat. Everybody welcome.

Innishannon I.C.A

Meeting downstairs in the hall on Wednesday 2nd May at 8pm.  New members welcome.

Castlelack I.C.A

Castlelack ICA will hold their AGM in the Social Centre Castlelack.  On next wed night May 2nd at 8pm.  New members are more than welcome.  The guild will hold a coffee morning on Friday 11th May in aid of Marymount.

Scoil Mhaoilíosa

A group of parents from Scoil Mhaoilíosa are entering the relay of the Cork City Marathon to raise money for IT equipment for the school. Anyone interested in joining them please contact the school on 4775662.

We are having a Family Table Quiz in Upton Hall on Sunday the 29th of April from 3-5pm (NOTE TIME CHANGE). A maximum of 2 adults and a minimum of 2 children. All Welcome!

Gurrane National School Clothes Collection

Please donate clean unwanted clothes, bed linen, towels, curtains, shoes, bags, belts & soft toys. Mobile phones & laptops are also welcome but please keep in a separate bag.  Items can be dropped during school hours to the school hall up until 9.30am Monday the 30th April. St Vincent De Paul

Have you 2-3 hours a week to spare for charity? Volunteers are urgently needed for the shop, Weir Street, Bandon. Full training will be provided, retail experience would be a great help but not essential. For further details, please call 086-8255092.

Kilmacsimon Swimming & Rowing Club Lotto Results

Lotto Results 23rd April.  Numbers drawn 10, 27, 28.  No Jackpot Winner. €35 winners Tony Sheehan Theresa O’Neill, Clohane John & Eileen Quin, Dunderrow.   Next week’s jackpot is €1,750 and Mondays draw will be held in the Kilmichael Bar, Bandon.

Afternoon Tea Dance

Will be held in Kilmacsimon Community Centre on Sunday, 29th April from 3 – 6pm.  Music by “Dave Rea “.  All are welcome. 

Cork Association for Autism 

Is having its bi annual Flag Day next Thursday May 3rd. They are looking for volunteers that would be so kind as to give up their time for a couple of hours on the day. The Flag Day will be taking part in the following locations in North and East Cork. West Cork Rapid Response

A Coffee Day will be held at the home of Patrick & Betty Hennessy, Kilmalooda, Ballinascarthy on Saturday 5th May 11am-6pm for the West Cork Rapid Response.  An open invitation extends to everyone to come along and enjoy a cuppa and a chat.

Rural Link Transport Services
