Gardens & Galleries
This year Gardens and Galleries will be held on Sat 15th and Sun 16th June. Cor Castle is open again, together with many new gardens and a varied palette of artists. So hold the date and invite your friends to Innishannon that weekend to enjoy a creative artistic and stimulating visit. The first step in preparing for Gardens and Galleries was made this week with the painting by Jerry Larkin of a beautiful mural for the Bee Garden on the western gable end of the Parish Hall. View and enjoy!
The bluebells are beginning to appear in Dromkeen and will soon cover the slopes in waves of blue. And the lovely woodland anemones are already there in a wash of white. The high pathways along the top that were devastated by storm Ophelia have been cleared by Coillte. Sometimes in winter part of these paths can be muddy but due to the wonderful weather they are now dry and perfect for walking. So take time to enjoy this wonderful amenity on our doorstep.
