The July to December 2019 Rota (Innishannon) can be collected from the Sacristy. If you would like to become a Minister of the Eucharist, please contact Fr Finbarr (Eucharistic Ministers are needed in both churches). Our new rota will be up & running shortly.

Scoil Mhaoilíosa – Congratulations, Activities & Family Fun Run
Congratulations to our past pupil Adam Walsh Murphy and the Cork Minor Football Team on winning the All-Ireland last weekend. We look forward to welcoming Adam back to Scoil Mhaoilíosa very soon with the Tom Markham Cup!
Our senior pupils are busy preparing for the Sciath na Scol Football Competition. Miss O’ Shea’s and Mrs O’ Callaghan’s classes are starting swimming next week and all classes will be starting gymnastics. A busy start to the first term!
Knockavilla National School are holding a family fun run fundraiser on Sunday 15th September 2019. Registration is at Knockavilla School at 11am on the morning of the race. The run and walk will start at 11.30am. Prizes for 1st male and female and medals for 1st, 2nd & 3rd boys and girls. Refreshments served afterwards in the school. All welcome, young and old and everyone in between.

The A.G.M. of Friends of Innishannon will be held at 8pm in Scoil Eoin on Monday 9th Sept. Guest speaker will be Prof. John Quinn, U.C.C. He will speak on “Preserving our Natural Habitat and planting Wild Flower Seeds”.

Innishannon Garden & Flower Club
Innishannon Flower and Garden Club welcomes back their esteemed members after summer recess. Our first meeting will take place on Wed Sept 11th at 7.30pm (note time) in DJ Murphy’s Garden Centre, Bandon. DJ will speak about autumn gardening/planting, bulbs, containers etc. Please bring your own stool/fold-up chair.

Family Carer Programme
West Cork Older Adult Team are running a Family Carer Training Programme in the St. Michael’s Resource Centre Bandon, for family carers of people with dementia. Beginning on October 2nd (7.30 – 9.00pm), this five week programme will include speakers from psychiatry, psychology, speech and language and social work. There is no attendance charge but advanced booking is essential. Will hold a Blood Donor clinic in The GAA Pavilion, Bandon. Tuesday 5pm -8.30pm & Wednesday 3pm – 5pm & 7pm – 9pm 10th & 11th September.
